5 Desserts to Enjoy in the Summer Heat

     Eating cold desserts is one of the best ways to stay cool and feeling refreshed during the Summer times. During these times we crave foods or snacks that are cold or frozen like an ice cream to help us cool down. 

 So here are 5 Desserts that you can prepare for yourself and your family to stay refreshed and to beat the summer heat while you're at home.


1. Buko Pandan 

     Buko Pandan is a cold dessert from the Philippines often served in parties and events. It is made with a young coconut strips, gelatin cube with the flavor of Pandan leaves, and cream. You can also add nata de coco or coconut jelly, and sago or tapioca pearls depending on your liking. It can be served chill or frozen. 


2. Mango Float

     Mango Float or also known as a Mango Graham is also a dessert famous in the Philippines. Made with crushed Graham crackers, whipped cream, condensed milk, and cubed mangoes. It is chilled for a few hours before serving. If you want to you can serve it frozen to have an ice cream like consistency. 


3. Patbingsu


     Patbingsu or know as shaved ice with sweet red beans and fruits is one of korea famous dessert in summer. It has a colorful fruit decorations, sweet red bean, and sweet creamy condensed milk that resembles a big snow mountain that is served in a dish. Toppings such as fruits, jam, rice cake pieces, toasted grain powder, ice cream, and condensed milk can be added to your patbingsu.


4. Gelato alla Vanilgia


     Gelato alla vaniglia is an Italian dessert. Despite of being one of the first varieties of gelato, this frozen treat with a vanilla base continues to be one of the most well-liked gelato flavors. A base of milk, cream, eggs, and sugar is used to make this traditional gelato taste, whis is enhanced with fragrant vanilla beans. It shares the same dense, creamy texture as other gelato variations and is frequently used as a basis to which nuts, fruit, or other ingredients are added to create unique flavors. 

5. Semifreddo

     Semifreddo is also an Italian dessert with the mixed consistency between a mousse and an ice cream. It is produced by delicately folding the whipped cream into a rich and glossy Italian meringue that can be flavored with practically anything, including chocolate, vanilla, nougat, almonds, fruits, and crème pasticcera, a thick Italian custard cream.
